Provision of Services on Heritage Impact Assessment and conservation management
Areas of practice
Architecture & Heritage
Architecture has always been the instrument in creating good building designs and great places. At CGBC, we have decades of experience in architecture, conservation and the adaptation of historic buildings. Our aim is to produce buildings and places that will have long lasting performance with maintenance programs and a positive socio-environmental impact to the community and the next generation.
In the process of becoming a developed nation, it is critically important for Malaysia to preserve its heritage and cultural assets. CGBC has been involved in national projects to ensure that development projects do not damage our national heritage. As the building industry matures, heritage impact assessment grows in importance and we have contributed to a significant portion of it.
Engineering
We have made contributions in the construction industry in many ways through our engineering expertise. Our years of forensic engineering experience has assisted many asset owners and managers. We identify the root cause of damages and defects in their assets, and then provide solutions to improve them until they fit the required level of service.
We support the Managing Agent of Facility Management companies, government agencies, laboratories, developers, contractors, conservators with our specialised area of forensic engineering.
We also provide consultancy and advice in asset management practice, certification for Ready Mix Concrete plants in compliance to CIS-21 and Act 520, cyclic and condition asset inspection, and periodic building inspection in compliance with the Street, Drainage and Building Act.
